Walrus & Dolphins educational program – €1.50 p.p.

During this program you will learn more about the walruses, the heaviest inhabitants of the Dolfinarium. You can see these animals up close and learn more about the animals and their congeners in nature. One of the caretakers will tell you all about the weight, the use of the tusks, their food and why they have such a big mustache.

Learned enough about the walruses? Time to get a little closer to the dolphins! What do they use which fins for? You will learn all about the blowhole and why the Bottlenose Dolphins swim in groups. Will you also become a protector of the ocean?

Conditions Walrus & Dolphins

  • The Walrus & Dolphins lesson program is suitable for senior groups. On request, the program can also be made suitable for the substructure.
  • The Walrus & Dolphins lesson program is not taught on Fridays.
  • The program lasts 35 minutes.
  • After taking part, pupils receive the diploma: ‘Protector of the ocean’.
  • Participants must understand Dutch.
  • General terms and conditions apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which groups are considered to be upper and lower classes?

The Dolfinarium assumes that the difference between lower and upper classes is:

  • Lower classes: groups 3 to 5
  • Upper classes: groups 6 to 8

A school is free to adopt a different classification itself.

Terms & Conditions Lesson Programs
  • Only possible on weekdays (Monday to Thursday) between 10:00-17:00. Not possible during holiday periods and public holidays.
  • The program is for both pupils and supervisors.
  • Also suitable for disabled people.
  • Multiple schools/classes can be booked into a session at the same time. Dolphinarium determines the layout.
  • The content of the programs is determined by the Dolfinarium.
  • There is a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 100 people per session.
  • Pupils receive diploma ‘Protector of the ocean’.
  • With normal park opening times, times are immediately confirmed and communicated to the school (subject to change).
  • At park opening with corona measures and at park closure:
    • Request a program based on availability.
    • If possible, the time will be determined immediately and confirmed to the school (subject to change).
  • Participants must understand Dutch.
